FAREWELL ASSEMBLY REHEARSAL was a total waste of time! Basically, I had to go back to school even though it was marking day for me. By doing so, school deprived me of 3 hours of enjoyment at home. The secondary threes and secondary fours were busy indulging themselves in sweet talks and did not bother much about the teacher yelling her lungs out. This resulted in batch leaders not knowing where to stand on stage, who is supposed to give the cue to take a bow, not being able to hear the emcees and of course everything has to be repeated!I must also say that people cannot differentiate a formal and informal occasion. Fearewell Assembly is round the corner and the rehearsals are down right important to ensure that the preize presentation goes smoothly on that day. If only this was as strict as the South Zone Colours Award Ceremony, many girls would be barred from receiving the certificate. Belts are loose, fringes not pinned up, socks are buried deep inside shoes, long fingernails so on and so forth. Prefects are not carrying out their duties well and they call themselves leaders? I jolly well think that in that case, I would make a better role model than them! It's a privilege to receive an award on the last day of school and there is nothing to be shy of. Can't they even stop and shake the principal's or vice-principals' hands instead of shaking it while in a hurry to move off? Can't they even follow simple instructions as to stand right at the end of the stage instead of in front of the stand? Can't they even leave their bags in the hall for a while and not bring it along while making way down to the ampitheatre? can't they even walk in batches and save the time needed to rearrange themselves back at the amphi? This is simply absurd!Mann.. I seriously DO NOT lok forward to the next rehearsal on 1st November at 11am. Wonder if it would be the same as today...
